Default Source of wide thin hardwoods

I need advice about finding a good source of wide (8 to 10 inches) thin hardwood or plywood (1/8, 1/4, 3/8 or 1/2 inches thick). Length of 24" would be good. I'd like to get a varity of colors so I don't have to do any staining.

Try www.ocoochhardwoods.com or www.petersonscustomlumber.com . Both midwestern suppliers, both offering great wood and good pricing. Dale

I get most of mine from Kim Oberlin (deer56hunter) on eBay. Great quality and excellent prices.

Nice thing about Heritage is that they will glue up panels for you if you need something extra wide. They do a better job than I can.

You won't be disappointed. I've been buying from Kim for a couple years now and am always pleased. His prices are WAYYYYYY better than any I've found. He has done a few "special orders" for me as well. The last was 3/8" thick White oak in 12" widths.

I got an order from Heritage back in November and I wasn't very pleased. I've ordered from them a couple of times before and they were pretty good. But this time the boards looked like no attempt at all was made to make a color match between the glued sections. Not just a little different shade, but a massive difference.

I'll probably try to used Sloan's in the future. I placed my last order with them and was very pleased. Lightning fast response and excellent quality wood.
