Not me, but I"m sure it's fine. Don't forget about cutting boards you might find really cheap at walmart.

I'm in the same predicament, Pegwinn, and a lot of that stuff is really useful! I just want to warn you that some of those woods are treated with stuff that you may need to be careful with when cutting. I got a pretty bad rash from some treated wood, so be cautious until you know if you will react to it or not.

I've scrolled laminate flooring, it was a beast. Went through a ton of blades on one small plaque. Gave me a bad rash on my hands and arms and I sneezed for hours. So be real careful with this stuff.
Just my 2¢ worth.

I have some unfinished cedar that is used for closets and trunks. It doesn't appear to be treated with anything and it cuts really easily as you would expect from cedar. One side is nice and smooth and the other is pretty rough, but nothing that can't be taken care of with a little bit of sanding. I love the smell of the cedar as I'm cutting it also. Here's a wolf face I cut a few months back.

I have installed hardwood flooring for the past 25 years and that is where I get a lot of my sawing material. Some of the newer laminates are extremely tough on ALL blades. Lots of different woods to chose from. What doesn't make it to the saw ends up in the woodstove.

I use both Bamboo and hardwood flooring, I like them both.
I have also used laminate and it is as Marsha said very hard on the blades.
The Bamboo cuts really nice, although you will find some "hot spots" in the laminations. No matter how you cut it sometimes it will burn slightly. Maybe someone could recommend different blades.

I like prefinished flooring, it saves lots of steps in the finishing department.
It isnt for every project but it has great possibilities.

Specially if you can get many scraps for intarsia woods.
