Default Ask, and thy shall receieve !

Steve,

Here is a good supplier, Dale H. buys lots of stuff from them, and reccomends them all the time. I hear other scrollers say, good things about Klock -It.

Steve,
The big box stores have the kit with the socket, cord, shade holder and threaded rod.

Thanks Guys, I have had a couple of requests for some lamps and was wondering the best place to get a few kits. I appreciate the responses. Steve

Default Suggestion

Steve,
I made three of these a couple of years ago. If you find the right tree limb the results can be pretty cool

Hi Tom, those are great. I have seen some floor lamps made from drift wood stumps and different things added for embellishments. I like the rustic looks of them and they are still a useful item. Thanks for sharing those. Steve

I like your lamps, too, Tom. Are they as easy to make as they look? Except - how do you drill that distance through the limb for the metal rod to go through?

And I just checked my new KlockIt catalog and didn't see anything about lamps. Must be on-line? Should they change their name to KlockIt-and-LampIt?

Mac beat me to it. Yes, klock-it does sell heaps of lamp parts.I just checked my catalog too, and sure nuff, there isnt any in it! At the store they do have a lot of lamp making things though. Another source is Meisels , I believe they are listed in the "other great sites" link on the left of this page, or else in your SSWC magazine they must have an add. depending on exactly what you need, you might be surprised by what your local tru-value or ace has.
