I have just started subscribing to "Scroll Saw", and am interested in trying to make the Wooden Gear Clock in issue 26. My problem is that I live in New Zealand, and am wondering if any other readers live there, and can tell me where I can buy brass tube of 3/16" and 5/32" brass tube for the hands. If I can get it locally, all well and good, but if not, can someone suggest where I could get some mailed to me. Regards from John (johnandyen) |

John, Welcome to the world of clock makers. If you have an R/C hobby shop locally you may be able to find the brass tubing there. If all else fails check with Marc Tovar (the clock designer). I think that will provide you with a kit that contains all of the tubing that you will need. His website is at www.wooden-clockworks.com/. Marc is really a nice gentleman and, I'm sure, would be glad to help. Good luck on your endeavor. Steve Soich

I think it'd be cool to live in New Zealand, if only for a vacation. As it is, Indianapolis is where my scroll saw is, my log home is, and new member Mr. Soich is. Welcome, SSoich and JohnandYen !
