Sunhill Scroll Saws
I am looking for information on Sunhill Scroll Saws. I saw one for sale on Craig's List, and it looks as though it is a really nice saw. However, in searching the internet, I find this company is no longer in business and also can not find any info like spec sheets or anything for it. Have any of you owned or operated one of these saws? If so, what can you tell me about them? Thank you!!!!!
Boy....I have to admit I've never heard of them. Hopefully somebody can help you out.
I had found a blurb while searching where someone had mentioned that they believed Sunhill was put out by Oliver Machine Company. I know MANY MANY years ago Oliver did manufacture an industrial scroll saw, but, that at best is all I know. LOL, right now, I see on EBay, someone has an Oliver Machine Company scroll saw up for sale :-)
Here is there last known number.
If this is any indication of the quality of their work I'd steer clear of them.

We liked the generous table size and the ability to switch the arbor spindles for either a 10-in. or a 12-in. blade. However, for the price, many aspects were rough. The machines edges had not been deburred and were hazardous. The fence was difficult to set parallel to the blade and needed to be adjusted often.

Oh my, the cabinet saw did not receive a very good review!!!!!
Unless you were getting a rock bottom price, I would personally stay away from old, lesser known saws, especially if they are out of business and there is no customer support. It's probably not worth the investment.
Like I said I'd steer clear of this one...
