Hi I'm new to this whole scroll sawing thing but I'm digging it. I started out with an old junker just playing around and found out its alot of fun and everyone seems to like my work. So l started looking at better saws and was shocked at the prices of the high end saws. so after about 1 1/2months of looking all over the net and local papers I was very lucky to get a call from my mom saying she saw a nice looking saw sitting outside a pawn shop. I really did not think it would be what I was looking for but I was going that way anyway. so I ended up getting a rbi hawk 220-3 that seems to be in great shape for $200. I think it should work out nice for me.

Welcome to the best forum on the web. It sounds like you got a heck of a deal. Now all you have to do is make some saw dust...Come often, stay late and don't be afraid to ask anything, there are many very helpful people here to draw from.

Hi there, S Byrd. gosh that is a good find. when I was starting out. the Hawk was the one I thought I would love to try. I did chose a Hegner. but paid $1200 for mine new. I still wonder if I made the best choice. but am happy with mine. good luck on your new hobby. it is fun for sure. and glad you joined us hear. your new friend Evie

I made a cool one off quilt rack for my grandma. It has some scroll work on the front of it my wife drew out and I cut out. We have already gave it to her but I'll take some pic's and post them soon
