Default Time to introduce myself

Hi Everybody
I thought it was about time I introduced myself,I live in the Midlands of England near Ashby-De-La_Zouch,the last time I did any fretwork, as it was called then, was 59years ago with a table clamp and hand saw,I made my mother a letter rack from a Hobbys plan, she used that till she passed away,I think it got destroyed when the house was emptied,I have now purchased a scrollsaw a Ryobi 16in I am not sure wether it was a good buy or not, after going through the other threads, only time will tell I have had it some time now and it is still in the box,I cannot find a spot in my workshop to mount it,my wife always said I was an impulse buyer.

Welcome, Bill. Open that box and find a spot, even a temporary one, for that saw. If, like most, you will find yourself immersed in a great past time and hooked.

I'm with Mike on this Bill. Open that box... Get some wood and just cut something. A new adventure is just a wood chip away.
