Default De-lurking

Hi All, My name is Jim and I live in Connecticut. I’ve been reading this message board for a few of months now and decided it was time I de-lurked, signed-on and said hello.

I’ve been scrolling for somewhere around ten years now, and do so simply for my own enjoyment. I’ve done mostly fretwork and some intarsia in the past and have just started to explore the world of portraits and using the computer to convert photos into patterns.

Jim,
Welcome!!
Sort of the scroller that came in from the dark, right? Or was that a spy??
Never mind! It's lots more fun belonging than just looking. Make yourself at home, and I hope you enjoy your visits.

Will do Kelly and Sandy, in fact I just posted my first picture in the “General Scroll Saw” section. Looks like I need to work on how to format the pictures though. The ones I posted didn’t come out too good.

Welcome Jim, glad to see you emerge from the shadows. I think you'll like it here, nice place, nice folks. What kind of saw do you have?

Hiya Jim,
Yay! A fellow CT yankee! What part of CT are you from? I'm in Seymour.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

For a scroll saw, I have one of the older 26 inch RBI Hawks. It’s behaved itself wonderfully, and has never given me a moments trouble (“knock wood” – or should that be “cut wood”).

Yes Kevin, I’m a CT Swamp Yankee, born and raised. I’m located up in the Northeast part of the state (a.k.a. “The Quiet Corner”) in the town of Ashford (not too far from UCONN – which is rarely “quiet”).
