Default Hello from Illinois

I'm just getting started in scrolling after receiving a Craftsman saw as a gift.
(I guess the wife figured out I'd be out of her face for a while!) I recently
retired, so I have plenty of time to make mistakes. I'm sure I will be asking a lot of questions to the more experienced scrollers. Have a Great Day & God Bless!! Roadhog

Hi, Roadhog!
If you've got questions, we've got answers (and some of them will actually be helpful! , so you've come to the right place.
Your wife probably did you a big favor - scrolling is highly addictive, and you if you become afflicted you will soon wonder haw to get MORE time to scroll.
I hope you enjoy this family as much as I do.

Hi Road hog. and thank you for the blessing. I sure needed that today. Im glad you are here. and wife might miss you in the near future. for Sandy is so right. this is addicting. and so much fun. you know , this is pretty easy. you could make it difficut if you wont . mmmm like I do. but it is fun. and you can make all of your xmas preasants. or just make things for fun. or you could sell your stuff. to have more money to buy all your other tools. and fun things. but what i love about this art. is it is so self satisfieying. making things that you just can't buy in a store. there is so many patterns out there. even free. so grab your saw, and see what you can do with it. Welcome aboard Roadhog. I'm a fairly new member myself and I can say that this is the most receptive and helpful forum I've visited. You are in the right place for advice, tips, encouragement and some good natured fun.

Good luck with the new saw and have fun making sawdust!
