Default Hello, I'm Emma and I just got a scroll saw.

I got this jigsaw for $7.00 at an auction. Two of them went up for bid for choice between the two. There was a bigger and newer one with a metal stand but it didn't have a motor. I should have gotten them both but I only had $50 and it was still early and I wanted the big old school wooden clamps that I did end up getting.

I haven't used the jigsaw yet because the frame is REALLY wobbly and the belt is really loose and flops around when it's running that I'm afraid it's going to fly off and smack me.

welcome Emma, I don't think I've ever seen a saw like that. Does it have a brand name? Sure is interesting looking. I'd like to see some work that you've turned out on that. David

I've never tried one of those older saws. Looks like fun. You might have someone check it out for you to ensure it is safe, then have fun.

It's a Craftsman but I can't find a model number on it. I'm going to try and find something on the internet about it.

Yeah, I'm not going to use it until I can get the belt tightened up. I think I just need to add another board to the table top to bring the two pullies farther apart from each other.

The jigsaw has a pipe elbow with a plug in it that I'm sure is for oil and the motor has two little spring loaded caps for oil but I don't know what kind of oil I should put in there or how much. I have car engine oil and a little can of Marvel Mystery Oil.
