I have replied to a whopping 4 post and decided I better at least say hi and who I am . I have sat on the scroll saw fence for a few years now . I do wood working and have for well........a long time . I just didn't know what I would make as some of these things just aren't my cup of tea . I love looking at them but don't have the patience for some . Right now I am just playing with a new saw . I have lurked enough to to know Dewalt and up are better saws . Being as I am not sure how much I am going to do with it I grabbed the Hitachi on close out at the Lowes . It actually isn't a bad saw for me right now . I look at it like this , if I get into it I can upgrade and at 139 I can keep it as a back up or sell it to another beginner . I have to admit some of the higher end saws look pretty sweet . I set it up on one of my benches just to try it and see if I wanted to keep it (didn't put the stand together as I thought if I return it I would have less work) . Well I am keeping it and I still haven't put the stand together . I just might leave it as it sits higher on this bench and I like standing right now . My wife had a long day yesterday so I threw in some pot pies and hashbrowns for quicky food . Right after doing so I had to run down and make one of those oven pulls that some of you guys and gals make . Nothing fancy like on here but it did the job quite well . For projects I might like to tackle ...... some simple inlay maybe and possibly start toying around with some intarsia . Who knows ! I was happy just making a simple oven pull . I have found that I am using the saw more than I thought I would . I do a lot of small projects and sometimes I use it just for a quick cut off . A long "hey there" but now you know .......I know very little about scrolling . Actually as a parting thought . You guys and gals are pretty darn skilled with some of the things I see on here . I will try to do less lurking and more posting .......shorter post ! See ya Jimmy joe .

Hi jimmyjoe, and Welcome!! I think you can make your posts as long as you like. Mine are usually quite short as I am a two fingered typist HaHa. You will probably find out, if you haven't already, what you can do on a scroll saw is almost limitless. By reading the posts on this forum you will find some of the members are very creative and also very talented. I hope you stick around and show us some of your projects.

Welcome Jimmiejoe & Bill. You will find a lot to read here, that's for sure. And learning as you read. I think if you just wander a bit, you will find something that you will like to do. I have my favorite's & dislikes too. You just have to jump in when you feel like it. Good Luck to you both. --- Perk

Jimmy Joe -- Welcome to the forum. I was new here a couple of months back, but have found the folks here to be wonderful. As a result, I've explored different aspects of scrollsawing and an having a ball. Jump in and ask questions and please post pics when you cut up.
