The bowl looks great for your first one. Glue is nasty stuff and can really mess with finishing. I'll bet that if you start a thread in the Bowls, Boxes, Compound, and other 3-D Projects forum, you can get some good tips on how to finish the bowl. They might also help with what to do with oozing glue.
