Smile just want to say hi

Hi I am new to group. I joined in Jan 2010. I am retired and trying my hand at the scroll saw. I am 69 years old. I live in upstate NY. I have had a scroll saw for many years but never use it much now I have time I am going to use it.

Welcome Floyd. I am sure you will enjoy this site, so much information right at your finger tips. Also think you will find scrolling very rewarding and be sorry you did not start sooner. That being said don't waste time start making some saw dust and posting some pictures. saw dust

Default Thanks Saw Dust

I am working on some things now. When I get one done I will put on here if I can. I have to see if I am smart enough to to do it. I am enjoying the scroll saw. I can't do the real small cut outs because I have the pin blades. But I do the best I can. When I do get a picture on here let me know what you think. Be honest you won;t hurt my feelings.

Floyd so glad you picked-up the hobby , go to Steve Good's web site for a lot of patterns you can practice on and on this site also . Need any help holler at us ...........

Thanks I will go to your web page and take a look around. I am enjoying my scroll saw. I out there 5 days a week. My wife still works and I have a lot of time on my hands.

Thanks i am already addicted. I am out there every day, can't keep my hands off the scroll saw. Want to buy a new saw. Looking at the delta 788. What do you think. Is it as good as it says it is???

Just ordered a Dewalt 788 any thing I need to know before I start useing it.? Looks like you have one.
