Smile new here

I have never posted on a site before. I live in Northeast Kansas.
It does not seem possible that I have been scrollsawing for over 5 years and still am not satisfied with the results. Hopefully, I will learn from tips of the other members and become as accomplished.
Thank you for allowing me to join.

Welcome Sandi. Mike is slipping as he usually asks for pictures. That is a good way to get some advice by posting pictures of your work. The folks here will critique it and make suggestions on how you might improve.

Welcome Sandi
This IS the place to learn, these people are great BUT remember we are our own worst critics. I see every little mistake I make that most people don't see. Lighten up on yourself and you'll see improvement. Enjoy.

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone. After reading dozens of posts, part of my "problems" might be my saw. I am going to start saving for a new one, possibly a DeWalt. Does anyone have the Excaliber and what do you think of them.

Hi Sandi - welcome to the board. You're gonna love it here!

best tip ni can give you is to post some examples of your work and if you haev a specific problem with them then mention it and ask for help and advice. Don't just throw the towel in thinking you have a bad saw. A lot of members here have budget saws, including myself, but with good advice on technique you can normally still get acceptable and even excellent results. A lot depends on what you are wishing to scroll.

So, make your voice heard before you start spending big bucks - not that I wouldn't mind a Dewalt or Excalibur also!!!!
