Hello all, just a note to say thank you for this wonderful site. I have been lurking for a little while, and joined a few days ago. There is some beautiful work here, and I have been dying to give it a try.

I had started to try a bit of scrolling with my late fathers basic old Craftsman 16". I quickly realized that is NOT the saw to use as a beginner!! (very frustrating! ) I am fortunate to have a very accepting hubby, so he wasn't too miffed when I came home today with a brand new Dremel 18" . (actually, he wasn't miffed at all...I love him so much!! )

So here's to hoping I don't drive you fine folks totally nuts with asking silly questions, but I am already finding there is an unending supply of experience and information available here!!

Thank you all for allowing me to join your ranks.

Welcome Sunwolf. We are glad to have you here. Now all you need to do is read all the stuff. There's a lot already there & waiting for you. Hope you enjoy the new saw & we do like to see all the cut's that you make. You will learn a lot as you go, even on your own. It's fun, that's what really counts. Have a good time.

Hi Sunwolf - welcome aboard the scrolling train. I'm with the rest of the guys who have said hello. Silly questions? what are they? Although i can't guarantee you won't get some silly answers, cos that part of the fun, what you will get is loads of help and advice in a nice friendly way. Just join in and ask and you'll see.

And don't forget those photos!

Welcome Sunwolf from across the pond in Scotland, once the sawdust gets under your skin you become addicted and you just lose so many hours creating more and more sawdust (as well as beautiful objects). Your hubby might not be to happy that you got yourself a new saw.
