Default saying Hello

Hello everyone, Just wanted to introduce my self. My name is Stan I just turned 50 a few weeks ago an live in NE Ohio. I have been scrolling about 4 years, But it all started 10 years ago when I was told I had lupus. A wood worker and carpenter for 25 years was told to stay out of the sun. Over the next few years the pain and fitigue really put a halt on work. One fall my wife an I desided to sell pumpkins. I had this old craftsman 16" scroll saw sitting in the basement for at least 15 years ( It was left to me by my father he bought it when i was in the navy) So i got all my scrap wood and started cutting out jack-o-lanterns, cats ghosts and bats an such. Well thats all i did with it. I started making doll house furniture. Then one day in 2005 my wife came home with a few old copys of scroll saw magazine at the time called scroll saw work shop she bought at a yard sale. One copy was a 2003 holiday edition, It featured an article about Gary Browning. I was hooked I've been scrolling ever since still using that old 16" craftsman. Im happy to be able to learn from some of the best here in the forum. I did enter the best design contest I hope I don't embarrass my self.

You sound like a perfect fit so welcome home! You'll enjoy it here as I'm sure we all will enjoy hearing from you and seeing pictures of your work! I, for one, would like to see pics of the doll house furniture, if you still have any. Sorry to hear about the lupus that is SO not fun!
