I'm new here and thought that I might introduce myself. I'm located in NW Ohio and live in the same township I grew up in, so you can see I have deep roots. While i don't do any scolling now I hope to begin soon. I'm a full time selfemployed carpenter with over 30 years experiance now. My projects at work range from cabinets and shelves to garages, barns, and room additions and most everything inbetween. I'm also into old trucks and antique gas engines. I used to do a little scolling years ago and would like to get back into it to make puzzles for my grandsons for starters. Looks like I've rambled on long enough now. Thanks David |

Welcome aboard David. Your location puts you in a great place to attend a nice scrolling event in the upcoming year. Heres a little about it : SAW EXPO 2010 We are getting READY for SAW EXPO 2010 on July 10 and 11, 2010 There will be a 'Welcoming Banquet on Friday evening July 9th. Set-up day for the Vendors will be July 9th. We are getting SET for a good show at the Roberts Centre in Wilmington, OHIO SAW is getting ready and we are getting set, now mark your calendars so you can GO. Talk to the folks who attended in 2008, we had a great time. The facility is 'top notch' All under ONE roof, indoors and climate controlled,(even a little bit too climate controlled, we will have that addressed next year,) Your Expo Committee is working on lecture seminars and some 'hands-on' seminars for the event. This page will be updated as information becomes available. Hope to see you at the EXPO on 2010.

Welcome David, I'm a recent member and I can tell you this is the best place you will find. Many good people here willing to give help and advice when you need it. I am also into old gas engines but probably in a different way. I have built a few operating models of the old Hit-N-Miss gas engins and also some Stirling Cycle hot air engines. The scroll saw gets used in these also. Dennis |
