Hi Scrollers,

I have just joined.
I have being scrolling for two years and just have completed my first fretwork.
Has anyone made a model Case steam tractor with a scroll saw?
My scroll saw is a Central Machinery 16", and I love it.
Anyone from Arizona?

Hello from west central Illinois.
I dont know of anyone that has made anything like that around here yet but would love to see it once you get it done. I too have started out with a Central Machinery scroll saw, I did however buy an upgrade blade holder from Sears for mine, about $20.00, I didnt like the "plain end" holder that came with the saw. I did discover that the screws that came with the holder kit wasnt quite long enough so I went to the hardware store and bought a couple that was a bit longer (costs about fifty cents) and that made my saw perform a lot better I thought. I am now upgrading to a Dewalt 788 but plan to keep my Central Machinery for odds and ends work....HAPPY SCROLLING...........Tommy

Hey, Sjlacy, I'm from Yuma, where are you located? Haven't seen that one yet, but, would be a good project to do. Hope to see what it looks like when you get it done. Nice weather we are having now, isn't it? Good Luck. If you decide you want to look at another saw, I have a Delta Q3-40-650 for sale. Just ask if you need anything. Perk

Hi ya ubgoofy2003 and sjlacy,
I just wanted to mention what a beautiful state you folks have there. This past May my wife and I took a vacation out west and toured parts of southern NM and southern Az all the way up to LasVegas and across Az east to the petrified forrest and painted desert all on our motorcycle, seen so many wonderful things and met some really nice folks on the way, I guess I should mention that even some of the State Law enforcement was pleasent as well, we got a chance to chat to a couple of them while we were having lunch at the Roadkill Cafe in a small town called Siligmon (i think thats the name LOL). When Im not on the saw, we love to take trips and meet people and I hope to get out that way again............tommyg

Hi,
Thanks for all the greetings.
Tommy is right, the Central Machinery saw's plain end blade holder becomes tiring to use after some minutes.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to make a 2" spoked tractor wheel?
I am located in Phoenix.

Steve

Hi,

The tractor is a wooden free standing model of a Case or Burrell engine.

Have a nice day,

Steve
