Default Mr C

Hello everyone. New member here. Have been reading the Crafts Message Board and enjoyed it very much. Thought it was about time that I did join and get in on the fun, not to mention reading about those wonderful hints and ideas of woodworking.
I'm 75 years young and have been scrolling for the past ten years. Have a DW788 and a Hawk. Live in Roseburg, Oregon. Just wish I had discovered this hobby thirty years ago.

Welcome to the forums Mr C . Glad you joined! Have you thought about getting in on the Secret Santa or Christmas swap? They sound like fun!

Welcome Mr C. I have stopped in your neck of the woods many times on my way up to visit my daughter in Redmond, Washington. I make it my half way stop and spend the night. It is good to have you aboard, stop in often.

Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome to the club. And thanks for the good advice I received on my dust problem in my small shop. I read about many dust problems that cause very bad reactions including the Western red cedar. After cutting/sanding of the red cedar I broke out in a bright red rash over 50% of my body. So I turned to all of you for help and read about your different ways to control dust. Now I can keep making the sawdust. Installed duct to carry dust away from me to large shop-vac. Couple other items were mentioned and I will be trying them and if they work I'll send a picture to all of you. You can take the credit!
If I can figure out how to do this thread thing and how to send pictures then I'll send a couple. Take care all of you and again, many thanks. Mr C

Hi Mr C - Welcome. Age is no problem here unless you think it is! Lots of 'young' scrollers here from 60 upwards and you have 10 years scrolling start on many of them which can't be bad. Looking forward to seeing you post examples of your work and generally joining in the fun
