Default Very newbie from Colorado

Hello,
I just picked up a Roibi Scroll saw to do some cutting on some Kydex I'm making into gun holsters.
I know what a scroll saw can do but I've never cut any wood with it. I picked up a magazine with some patterns in it. I looked around on this site some.
Is there any threads that start with Scroll Sawing 101? Is there a good book to get that would get me in the right direction? I've seen several different types of blades. Is there any difference between some of them and what i can pick up at Home Depot?
That's a lot of questions to start off with.

Looking forward to making some projects.

Well, Larry, it looks like you've got more than enough information there. That should keep you busy reading for some time, HA ! Now all you need to do is practice, practice, practice, and read some more. I would recomend Mikes workshop for blades. I haven't used anything else & they are fantastic blades. "Flying Dutchman". Get used to your saw & enjoy scrolling. Have any questions, just get on here & ask someone. Good Luck Perk

Hope you enjoy your time scrolling and here with us.
