Well just purchased a B.Y. Scroll Saw at Goodwill yesterday and think I made a big mistake. I always wanted one but this one was made in 1993! Very old unit. I am sure there are no parts available for it anymore since it was made in China. Does anyone know anything about this brand of Scroll Saw?? Anyway maybe this will get me motivated to get a decent scroll saw. There is much that can be done with a scroll saw.

Hi Lee - Welcome to the board. Don't know anything about your saw but I'm sure some one will help out. The age is not such a problem provided it cuts true and accurately and doesnt vibrate much - cheap saws tend to do this! . Try a few simple cuts and see how you go on. If you are a newbie there is plenty advice around to help you. Just ask and post pictures - they help tremendously!

Cheers!
