Smile New from belgium

Hello scrollers,
I'm new here, i live in Belgium, and i love scrolling.
It's hard to find something like magazines of scrollsaw in Belgium, even wood for intarsia is hard to find.
So i'm happy to find you all on the internet and we can scroll together.

Hi Frieke, Welkome to this site. Do you come from Flanderen? If you do, email me. I have some very good friends in Dikmuiden. Together they made the Cathedral of Milan. Maybe you can visit them. They have a lot of patterns and maybe can help you how to get wood. Mike

Hello everyone,
thanks for the great welcome. Almost every day i come here to read all the storys and all the sawdust.
At morning i start scrolling when the kids are away to school, then i work a little, at home, cleaning up all the sawdust . And then it's time to work on my pc, drawing a lot , but i also like to make drawings with pencil and paper. I also make carvings and sculptings, and lots of other things, mostely i work with wood.

Hello Mike,
I live in Flanderen, that's the reason why my english isn't always very good.
I'll send you a mail, and look forward to mail or meet your friends.
I don't think that there are many people in Belgium who have a scrollsaw.

Diksmuiden is pretty far away, about an hour and a half to drive i think, it's near the coast almost, i live in the middle of Belgium in between Antwerp and Brussels.

Hello Georges,
It's great to meet all those people on the internet! I think that in Europe scrollsawing is not so popular, Looks like not everybody likes sawdust, but i don't care. i have my Hegner in my veranda near the living room and i'm happy with it! Even the kids are now learning to scroll, but with a handscrollsaw. It wasn't even simple to buy a hegner, I only found two shops who sell them here around, and i had one hour to drive to that shop! How is that in Luxembourg?
