OPG3 is my login, which is for Otis Polk Guillebeau III. I am the Director of Product Development for Forrester Manufacturing Company in Buford, GA. FMC is a diverse manufacturing company and the world leader in several product lines. I am blessed in being able to work from my home - which is about 18 miles from our main office/warehouse/mfg facility. The main product which I am involved with is Pocket Form Isolator, which is a product line for which I am the inventor. Mr & Mrs Forrester are the sole owners of FMC, my income is derived from royalties. Often I help where necessary - mainly by providing drawings or prototypes for new products. Home I often find myself needing to build prototypes of one thing or another. My main job is developing 3d models using AutoCAD software. Sometimes I am able to simply email my file(s) to companies who specialize in "Rapid Prototyping", but other times this isn't feasible, so that's when I have to physically build the model. Since most models are built at reduced scales, the Scroll Saw seems as though it would be a really handy tool to add to my shop. Also, a lot of my prototype work requires the use of routers - so it seems this will be an ideal piece of equipment to utilize for making router templates. I also often build custom furniture for people and the "fancy add-ons" that could be used to embellish some of the products have quite an appeal. I am currently studying the subject and trying to decide which scroll saw would best suit my needs. I am married (since Nov 24, 1973), have three wonderful daughters and numerous grandchildren. My wife and I live with our main pet - Molly the Boston Terrier right by our sides. Also, I have had the hobby of collecting snakes since 1961. We currently have 21- non-venomous snakes and 4- lizards. The reptiles have their own room with built-in (furniture quality) cages for the larger snakes and built-to-match rolling cages for smaller snakes and lizards. This is a hobby that causes us to have guests to view the collection on a daily basis. Most of our guests bring cameras, etc. We also are interested in ornamental plants and lately I am learning about bonsai plants. |

OPG3,,welcom to the forum. just for the record I love snakes. I have had a couple. boas. and garters. and kings. I love snakes. I live in the hight desert. and have garter snakes, and kings , I also have some racers. they are all good. mine are free . and keep the rodents down. they are all named, and know there names. when I have a BBQ. Old henry comes down out of the Italian syfress. and crawls across the patio. He is a 5' king . and Red lives in my old shop, a red racer. he comes up from the ground. from his little hole. and scars the crud out of me. he is so welcome in my shop, but don't mess with hem. and charlie is a garter snake. living in my garden. he wont bite as long as your hands are not cold. but just let the cats come around, and he hissis just like a rattler. 2 of my sons have snakes, and love them, guess I passed that on. I was a volatier horse patrol officer. in my local mountain lakes. and collected snakes to bring home to keep them safe from the parks. also frogs and lizards. I also have turtles and mojove greens. folks just wont to kill everything they dont' understand. I would love to learn more about ornamental plats. and shazamm bonsai. with I knew how to cut them. welcome your new friend Evie

I don't think I'll be visiting either of you snake people. There's only one good kind of snake as far as I'm concerned. I'll stick to the scroll saw. Sorry, that's just how I am about snakes. David
