Question new member

Hi, I'm a new member and a novice scroller. I am wondering about a sanding system. At present I use my Dad's old craftsman drill press with either pneumatic or hard drums. This is OK if you don't mind standing on your right ear. I was wondering about the Seyco Flex Drum sander or the King Arthur pneumatic sander system. I've never heard of King Arthur, except as a flour, to make home made breads. If anybody has any suggestions please let me know. Thank you Liz

Welcome to the crew, I have a Grizzly Tools drum sander. Its a 1hp motor with 2 output shafts and when I bought it came with a 3" and 4" pneumatic drums that are 8" long.
They now sell it with the 2 drums and a flap sander. I have5 belt sanders and several disc sanders but the drum sander is the one I use the most. I will be buying the new one the next time I come down to the states. Just go to the Grizzly web site and you will find a lot of ways to spend money.

Welcome to the group Liz.

You might do well to ask what some members would suggest in sanding equipment or check out the tools section.

Take care
Toni

Welcome, Liz
I have lots of various grits of sand paper and a Foredom powercarver that doubles for a sander. Hubby, has a big sander with a couple sanding belts. To heavy for me and that thing scares the be-geivers-out of me. So I let him run that baby.

Hi eknego. there is tons of sanding things you could do. but if you would like to lay your pneumatic or hard drums sidways. there is a way. you could get argor adaptors to go on other tools. like a grinder. they come in differant sizes. I got myself a keyless chuck that will slide onto a shaft. mine is 1/2" but you can get them in 5/8ths also. there is tons more. if you wish to know. you could also get your self a sanding mop. your friend Evie
I also wish to welcome you to the forume.
