Default I'm new too.

Hi everyone!!!
I have always wanted to learn about the art of scrollsawing. I am getting into spinning and weaving from fibers I grow in my garden along with learning how to dye these fibers using natural dyes that I am also learning how to grow in my garden. I am learning a bit of wood carving and discovered I also want to learn wood turning and scrollsawing. My gardening interest has turned into the love of working with fibers including basket making. This branched into a new love of wood carving and this has now led to my wanting to learn to use the tools in my late husband's workroom. We have the lathe and too many other tools that I don't even yet know what they all are to talk about. I want very much to make a weaving loom from scratch along with as many of the accessories that are used in these crafts. That is where the scroll saw has its place right now. I'm sure with time it will branch into many more areas as this all began with my love for gardening. My goodness!!! What a few seeds along with some soil, water and sunshine can grow into. So much more then my beautiful and functional garden. All of these arts and crafts has helped me to begin the healing process of finding myself alone, disabled after the death of my husband. I'm stuck at home and not able to get out and about so my garden and all of the arts and crafts it has grown into is what keeps me hanging on to this life and provides a wonderful feeling of hope and promise. Qualities this world seems to lack in sorry to say. I found this site when reading up on how one piece wooden baskets were made. I loved what I read so much that I signed up for the group to learn more about the scrollsaw way of life. I just love tools and the possibilities they open up to life. I will now be off and learning some more about all of these crafts I am now growing into.
