| A Formal Welcome from the Moderators One Two Three Four .....
We're so glad to have some more.......
Go Forum!
Okay so I'm not the cheerleader I used to be, but as a consolation my pompoms are bigger. Giggle.
There ... that's out of the way so now you all know what you're dealing with when it comes to my sense of humour.
Seriously, many of you who are new to the forum know Sylvia and that she's been appointed a moderator here on SSWC. I woke up this morning to find out Sylvia and I are now the moderators who drive the welcome wagon.
I can't believe Bob D gave me a whip and let me drive.... what WAS he thinking?
I hope as you find your way around, you'll find a healthy mix of give and take, and mingle with the rest of group. Together, we can build a great international community.
Here.... let me dust off a chair.....
Welcome.

| Wow, I am so new to this, not only do I not know how to scroll, I don't even know how to use a message board to get help. I wrote a plea for help that went as a private message to someone named macman. How do I get it out to everyone for suggestions for me (other than the obvious one... "Get off of our message board, Newbie!") |

So you don't know how to scroll... if you have a saw.... you can learn by doing.
You have successfully posted to the forum now, so any questions you have -you try and find the category or board that the question fits under the best and post it. Sit back and watch the replies come in.... we all like to talk the talk.
If you don't get any answers... let me or the other moderators know. We have whips.
Take care

| Toni,
I don't like whips! They leave marks...a noodle lashing works better and Kevin seems to enjoy it, he comes back for more lol.
With both of us in the welcome board we can play good cop bad cop! Let the fun begin!

| OK, maybe I enjoy the noodle lashings but that doesn't make me a submissive, hehehe. (For some reason though, I have this image of whips and stilettos, hehehehehe)

| Toni and Sylvia:
As far as the whips, noodles or other devices, consider sandbags--maximum effect with minimal markings and then you can use them to glue up panels, lessen warping and other handy uses.
Judging from my experiences around here, I don't think a question will go unanswered for too long. But, I'll bet the so-called "newbies" from AFSP will be answering more questions than they pose.
Alecs, The only thing I knew about a scroll saw when I started hanging around here was that the blade moved up and down and if you weren't paying attention, a blank for a Cub Scout Pinewood Derby® car turned to junk really quick. The best advise anyone on this board will ever give you is to get on the saw and make a few cuts to get a feel for what the saw feels like under your hands and then find yourself a pattern that looks like a bit of a challenge and go for it.

| OK NOW, all this talk about Whips, stilleto's and big POM POM's is making me sweat.
Welcome Alec, never hesitate to ask questions. We all were beginers at some point.
