Default My personal message to new scrollers and board members

I know I probably can speak for others, but I wanted to take this time to personally say welcome. I also want to address different aspects of scrolling.
1- Pattern Designing - Not being able to design doesn't make you less than others. We all start scrolling and pattern designing not knowing a thing. It's ok to ask as many questions as you need to in order to understand. I, for one, get very very confused easily (adult a.d.d.) so I still can't figure out how to make patterns on a computer. The method I use is soley on paper and only brought into a graphics program for coloring in and cleaning up.
Pattern designing is not a competition. Yes, alot of us love to be able to get into the magazine, but I would like to think nobody is trying to outdo anyone else. It's neat to see the different styles!
2- Scrollsawing in general - There is NO question that is a stupid question. Ya don't know 'til ya ask. I still learn new things to this day. Some of them I wonder how I got by not knowing!
You don't have to be a "master" crafter or designer to be completely welcomed into this comunity. Again, it is not a competition. I have been in the scrolling community approximately 6 years. I see them as family. Unfortunately, that has shown my depressed side, my emotional side and my unstable side. For that I can't apologize enough to those who lost faith in me, friendship with me and dependance on me. All in all this community is very forgiving, understanding, supportive, genuine, helpful, loving, friendly, and diverse. You won't find any small groups within this group. All are equal.
I welcome all of you with open arms and encourage you to look around, ask questions and know you're in one of the best places to be yourself, make friends and maybe learn something on the way
