Default New "KID" in town

Hi everyone,

This is my first post, so I hope I"m doing it correctly.

We moved to Florida about two years ago to get away from the cold winters, but we will be returning to NY as soon as possible.
For 19 years, my wife and I owned and operated an Art Gallery & Custom Frame Shop, we got out when it started to become a hobby(fewer & fewer customers).
We had many profitable years in the business and met tons of great people, but around 2003, the writing was on the wall, and with the economy the way it is now, the very last thing you need is a $1000.00 picture on the wall.

When I had the time, I used to build furniture and toys as a hobby, but now I have very little room, and I saw an article on the internet about scrolling , so I decided to give it a try. I purchased a really old scroll saw at a yard sale and made it look like new, I replaced all the bearings, greased it up and it runs pretty good, major vibrations, but for now it will do. I think if I enjoy doing this, I will purchase a new saw. I'm sure I can count on a lot of opinons on which ones to consider.

Thanks for the time, and I apologize for being such a windbag on my first post.
