Hello,
My name is George and I'm a sawdust addict... I have been into wood working for a number of years, but just recently tried scrolling. I have a Hitachi CW 40 with Flying Dutchman blades and have tried my hand at making my own patterns in Photoshop (with limited success). So, that is about the extent of my scroll saw knowledge. I hope to be able to learn a lot more about this fun craft with help from this group of Artisans and Experts.

Hiya George welcome a board to coin a phrase. Take some time to poke around you will be amazed at some of the features here. Looking forward to peeking in your gallery and seeing some of your projects.

George,
Welcome to the land of custom firewood and designer sawdust!

There are several of us cutting with the same setup you mentioned--but as much as we love Mike and his FD blades--but we all cut a variety of blades. In my close, I'm not good at ordering ahead, so I have to use what I can get in a hurry.

What you will find on this board as you poke around is a whole bunch of us who amazingly do get some stuff cut despite checking this board several times a day and making comments.

We all learn from one another and share tips and techniques. In the short time I've been here, I've learned several books worth of tips and learn something almost everytime I log on.

Don't be hesitant to ask questions and constructive advise is always a part of the friendly nature of the board.
