Default Just saying Hi

I've been reading messages on this board for several weeks now and have finally decided to join and actually participate instead of just reading.

Haven't been scrolling for too long. Haven't tried any intarsia or segmentation yet. My dad has been doing it for years and last christmas I asked if he would give me lessons. I was using his saw to start with (a Hawk G4) but for my birthday this year my husband bought me a Dewalt 788 and a workbench, so I'm starting to take over the garage. Still need some new things but if push comes to shove, I can go to my dad's house.

I have found this message board very informative and everyone seems genuinely nice and willing to help anyone.

So I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone (and how to actually post threads, pictures, etc.)

Kathy

Well How Dee from Dallas. Glade to see you finally joined. You will be addicted to sawdust real soon. You wont find a better group of people for your Scroll saw needs and questions. Enjoy.

Welcome Kathy,

I am sure you will enjoy this site. Nice to have dad close to be able to use the expertise and tools. My dad was in woodworking most of his adult years. He passed away several years ago. Since we moved to TN, the shop is 1200 miles away.
