| Welcome AFSP MEMBERS I'd like to extend a warm welcome to the members of the Absolutely Free Scrollsaw Patterns group.
The moderators of the group, which was hosted by MSN before MSN decided to eliminate the groups, encouraged their members to shift to this site. Not only do we have Claudio's great IT support, we have unlimited space for posts, attachments, and the gallery.
Because we expect to get several new members and a variety of pattern submissions, I've asked a few of the experienced moderators from the AFSP site to help out. Please welcome Sylvia (Jr Ranger), Emmitt, Jody (Sparkyky), and Dave. And, of course, Kevin (Jediscroller) has been a valuable member of the moderator team here for a while. Their experience with patterns and copyright issues will be a great benefit to us.
I've also decided to make a few changes to the forum layout as well to accommodate all of the new patterns we expect. The New Scroll Saw Patterns or Designs area will be split into a couple of sections:
1. Pattern requests: A place to make formal request of patterns from the resident designers.
2. Pattern Vault: A repository of free patterns sorted by type.
I'll also add a Business SIde forum where people can discuss selling scroll saw artwork or patterns. We've discussed this in the General Scroll Saw area in the past, and I've asked the moderators to move appropriate threads into the new forum.
As for the new members, please take a minute to introduce yourself here in the Welcome Members area. The Message Board FAQ section has tutorials on sizing photos and adding attachments to your posts. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact a moderator or myself.
Best regards,
Bob Duncan

| One thing I forgot to add, I would ask that all of our members coming over from AFSP take the time to read the SSWC Forum Bill of Rights as these are the rules that we live by here.
Thank you.

| Hello there, I joined the SSWC group a few days ago but have only been lurking around a bit to see what it is all about. I am thankful to SSWC for coming to the rescue of AFSP with such a wonderful offer. I am looking forward to getting started here and hoping to see my many friends here soon.
