Default Hello to all - question about Hawk saw

I'm brand new to this hobby of scrolling. I've mostly done refinishing of old pianos and furniture. I love miniature dollhouse stuff. I bought a like-new Hawk G4 precision scroll saw for $500. It is a beautiful machine. I was wondering if any of you have heard anything about these machines.

Thanks.

Thumbs up

Welcome to the forum. The RBI Hawk is a good saw and you got a pretty decent buy on it. You'll be happy with your purchase and will get good service from it. Scrolling can be one of the most creative forms of woodworking and, in fact, become quite addictive and/or theraputic!!! Great place here for help and info....so again, welcome to the ONLY scroll saw forum where the inmates run the aslyum!!!!

Default Hawk G4

I have a Hawk 26 and a G4 and love both of them. Haven't had a bit of trouble with either one and the vibration, or lack thereof, is great. When you set yours up just remember that level is not that important. Just be sure to get the weight evenly distributed on all 4 feet.
