Default just joined!

Hi y'all, I just now joined the forum. A friend gave me a scroll saw-Dremel 1695.I don't have a manual for it. I need one, so if anyone has a manual or knows were to download one I would greatly appreciate it. I have never used a scroll saw before, but look forward to learning how. I carve wood, quilt and possibly have to many hobbies!LOL Looking forward to getting to know you folks here. I need another bit of info, the deck on the saw is aluminum(I believe.) It has some corrosion on it. What is the best way to clean it off? Thanks and you can call me Dell. Oh yeah, I'm a woman.

Welcome Dell, you will find some of the most talented women scrollers in the world on this Forum. Post pictures of your work when you get some made. You might try the Dremal web site, they maybe can come up with something for you. as for the corrosion use any good cleaner with out to much abrasion it. And what wont come off don't worry. Then us a good quality furniture past wax on it. Wipe on let it dry the buff. This will also help to prevent more corrosion.. Again welcome and hope to hear more from you. Enjoy.

Hello Sheldon and welcome, you might also try a search engine for the manual. I would think Pete's idea of contacting Dremel would be a good bet.

Hi Dell - welcome to the board. It's gratifying to know that having too many hobbies isn't just a macho thing - LOL!

Look forward to seeing your work

Have fun!
