| Recycled wood I went to a local sale flea market, with the unloved wood items in mind found pine beds and hardwood doors for a low price. along with a local sawmill who supply wood flooring to the trade , they have offcuts in hardwood some from our local area Southern England woods and forest . this is how you can keep making sawdust at low cost in these tight times- as new member from England Hi to you all . |

| Old Pallets from the pacific are a good source of wood, it you don't mind taking the time
to sort and clean them up, I saved a lot of red oak and mahogney pallets and it turned out ot be a good supply of wood.

| welcome Woodhants.
I have an old bed in my garage waiting to be used. I fluctuate between wanting to paint the headboard into a sign (don't know what sign to paint and where I would put it!) and wanting to cut it up! |

| I use to pick up pallets a few years ago. Now you can wind up in jail picking up used pallets. It has turned into a lucrative business here in Dallas. I did get some good oak and yellow pine from the ones I did get. Made some nice end tables and small kids furniture from it. I still rummage around any wood I see tossed out for bulk trash pickup day. Even that is hard to come by.
But it's good to see recycling catching on. We are to wasteful.

| Recycled wood is great as well as castoffs from wood trades, I certainly have my share of it in the shop but be sure to use a metal detector on it before milling. It will save you from ruining blades and potentially a serious injury! |
