| Hello and welcome, I'm new to scrolling too! I've been woodcarving for almost three years now. I bought my scrollsaw to cut roughouts that were to small for my bandsaw. I have sense found how much fun they are and have gain a great interest in scrolling.
Folks here, like in the WCI Carving Forums are really nice and always helpful.

| Thank you all for the welcome notes. Yes I finally have a saw. I purchased a DW788 and it went bad in about 2 weeks. Most of the same problems you folks discuss. A bad table and electronics. They put a new circuit board, switch, speed control nob and fuse system in it and it also went bad. Then they replaced it with a new saw and it was bad out of the box. It was returned and I received most of my mony back. I then proceeded to purchase an Excaliber EX 21 Which is purring along just great. I really like it. I have done some things from patterns in the magazines but nothing to show yet. I am still in the process of setting up a work station in my garage. Thanks again for the encouragement. |
