Default Hello All

Hi Everyone, I'm new to scrollsawing just bought a like new one today. So have lots to learn--unfortunately it didn't come with a manual. I've been researching Online, but so far haven't come up with any information.
The name of the unit is called Powerline by Machine Tools and is 15". It's a solid unit all cast and runs and cuts great.

If anyone out there recognizes this brand or manufacturer I'd appreciate hearing anything you know about it.

I've been wanting a scrollsaw to go along with my bandsaw for versatility. There are times the bandsaw is to large for cuting out small carvings.
Looking forward to learning all about scrollsawing from you all.

Welcome to the group. This is a great place to learn, it doesn't matter your skill level because there is always something new popping up around here.

G'day KathyRo....

If you check the URLs from WoodDog ( thanks again WD ) ) on his 'welcome' post to me ( I've only owned my Scroller for a couple of days, too) you'll find some really 'good stuff' ( check out the video clips' especially !!

This forum sure seems to be the Scroller's focus , eh !!! )

Welcome KathyRo. I'm sure you will like all you learn from the folks around here. Don't be afraid to ask any (what you might think of as silly) questions..we have all been though it.

I have never heard of the brand of saw you purchased, but as long it works for you that's all that matters. Make sure you purchase good blade. There are several good one...like Flying Dutchman. Mike will be happy to send you a sample...look him up on the web.

Welcome KathyRo....come around often you will pick up lots of info.
My advise besides reading all you can around here is to subscribe to ScrollSaw WoodWorking & Crafts magazine, you can do it from this site.
The URL's breakie was talking about are Rick's Scrollsaw and Scrollsaw Workshop both have lots of information and videos.
Good luck on your search for info about your saw. Have fun
