Most of all just have fun. | I upgraded to a Hitachi CW40 saw. Price was a big factor in that decision as it was below $200. So far I like it very well. I have only had it a few days and cut 3 small easy patterns though. Blade selection will be a big learning curve for me at first.

| Welcome to the forum Tom,
I too had questions about blade selection and was able to find a wealth of info from Mike at mikesworkshop.com. He is a distributor for Flying Dutchman scroll saw blades. Check out his website. He offers samples of all the different blades he carries, which will give you a chance to try them out before ordering dozens.
There is also a great deal of blade Q's & A's in the Beginners scroll saw section on this site.
Good Luck.
Hank

| Tom,
Atleast there are two of us with a Hitachi CW-40. It is new to me also, but I enjoy the saw.
