Smile Howdy ya al from Texas

I'm a new member and also new to scrolling. I can handle a band saw and a table saw but that little saw is hard to tame. I have more questions about it than I can count so I'm going to read some of the other forums and hopfully get some questions answered or post a thread for some.

Welcome, it is good to see you found the right place!

Your real problem is not the saw, it is exactly which way you are going to tame it. Like everything else, there are many ways to get the job done. Here there are some really smart people and you'll hear several different suggestions on how to do something. Just try and see what works best for you, next thing you know that saw will be kicking out the projects.

lolwood. I can see you are a old had at some of the bigger saws. and yes there is some differances in this little saw, that most men find fiddaly. that would be my point. it is a fiddaly saw. it takes pationshats, dang is that a word. and time to slow down, and do.some fine cutting. anyone can do it. but it takes some slowing down. I am sure you will master it soon. I am glad you are hear. and hope you find this art, as fun as me. you will still kneed all those big boy tools. to make this fragil art. but will be so much cheaper, and you can empress alot of folks, with your talent of scrolling. what kind of quistions do you have. hopefully we can give you are exsperiance. your friend Evie

When I started scrolling, many years ago, I was told I cut the wrong way for a right handed person.....after 30 odd years I guess I still don't do it right, but I sure have had allot of fun!! Just turn on the saw, add blades and wood and do it YOUR way and have some fun.
