Been an avid woodworker for most of my life, but never had a scroll saw. Found a Delta 40-570 on close out at a local Hardware store and jumped on it. Seems to be OK, and I'm very impressed with how smooth and nearly vibration free it is. Only issue, the manager couldn't find the owners/operators manual. I figured out the clamps and played with it a little yesterday. Still gotta' learn which blades to use for what. Hope to have a lot of fun with it. Will retire one of these days soon, and hope to have even more fun then. Thanks for the opportunity to share and ask beginner questions. If anyone has the manual on my machine or a source I would be glad to pay for it. Thanks Don

Delta saws are good saws. If the price was right and it makes you happy. Then it's a good saw.

Welcome, a scroll saw is a great addition to your shop. Be careful, it can be very relaxing and thus addicting. Those of us already here are stuck forever, but hey we all love saw dust.
