You will be glad to be a part of this group! What kind of scroll saw do you have? What kind of work do you do on it? What is the majority of your experience in woodworking?

Tom

Thank you for the nice welcome.

I have a Hawk.

I have done many things, portraits, military ribbon, ribbon frames, leaf animals, christmas stuff like santa and snowman goodie holders, this year I am making christmas candy cane holders and candy holders. I also make layered animals. I have posted some of my pictures in the gallery.

I got started after my mom died several years ago. First I started painting the stuff my dad made (my mom did that before she died). Then I kept seeing things I wanted him to make so I decided to try my hand at scroll sawing. I bought a dremel, but found out very quickly I could not do intriquite stuff, like the portraits so I bought my Hawk and am so so happy with it.

I still have alot to learn but I am getting there. I do most of my work for gifts, but I have sold several pieces to co-workers and this year I am doing a christmas bizzar at a friends 55 and older park. I am making several layered animals for it. Plus a few signs.

Teri, your work is beautiful. I especially love the way you paint your layered animals. How big are they?

Thank you.

They come in different sizes. The ones I have done are the small size. Sorry I havent mesured them so I dont know actual height. I have done a couple of the medium ones also.
