Smile Another newbie

Hi all, I hope to be in the right place for this. So here goes I'm new to this group, I live in Texas, I'm also new to the scroll saw I've had some back sur. (4) and not allowed to nor able to do to much anyway my wife (of 28 years) bought me the saw to help me pass the time and take my mind off some of this pain. I find the saw very interesting and I'm sure that I'll be a pest trying to get things done and asking ?????s. I've done a few cuts now, and will post some as soon as I get all this figured out, AND I want to make sure before I post that I'm doing all the copyright, and giving credit to the right people. Like I said I'm new and don't want to step out of line or on anyones toes. Thank you for allowing me into the group from what I've seen of the site (and I've only started) it seems to be a very friendly and helpful place to be. thanks again

You have no idea how helpful the people here are. Ask ANY question you have and you are sure to get a lot of good help and advice. Pester away, the more you pester, the more you'll be loved around here there is no doubt.

Welcome and stick with us. I had several shoulder surgeries and after explaining the scroll saw to the doctors, they thought it was awesome for therapy.

Come on, show us what you've posted we all want to see..

Welcome Newblader99,
This is a great forum. I recently joined and have found it to be a very friendly and supportive group.
I'm sure you will enjoy your new saw. What kind is it?
It seems that just about every kind of scroll saw is represented somehow at this site so there is a lot of good info available. Again, welcome to the forum. Enjoy making some sawdust.
Hank

It was a mistake on my part but i left off the kind of saw i have. the first one we bought was Ryobi SC164VS i had lots of problems breaking the blade adapters and had lots of down time because of it. i say down time be cause i had to order new parts and wait for them to come in. the shipping was quick but i was eager to scroll and the breakage was was most likely my being new at it. anyway i got new parts in and broke one of the new ones on the firs t shot, so i went shopping for what i thought would be a better set-up. i found a Hitachi CW40 at Lowes and really liked the looks of it so it made it's way home with me. mind you this is all within a 2 month period so i have 2 saws now but i really like the Hitachi and hope to learn as much as i can on using it. i just need to learn to slow down and to control my eagerness (is that a word) i also need to learn to do finishes it's one thing with flat piece of wood but now i have to learn how to deal with the holes in the wood. thank you for all the welcomes.

Welcome fellow Texan. I say that because I am an adopted Texan. Came to Texas in the early 70s. Well any how. You will learn a lot here. I have. The only stupid questions ask are the ones not asked. Enjoy yourself. I'm sure you will be addicted to sawdust in no time.
