I've been scrolling for a few years now, done a bunch of clocks and quite a lot of Jeff Z's advanced scroll patterns....and, I use a hand-held, frame saw. I haven't heard of anyone on the West Coast using a hand-saw...and was wondering if I'm the only one around. I started using the hand saw in Italy about 15 years ago and have progressed from ships, to clocks, and now almost exclusively Jeff Z's stuff. And using a 2/0 reverse blade, to me, offers a lot more control than a sprial blade.
Also, I am interested in swaping patterns.
reply soon.

Welcome jrose. This is a wonderful site.
I find spiral blades can be aggressive when cutting sensitive areas on patterns, and J Z sure likes sensitive areas. At present I am working on Gershwin and have approximately 60 more cuts to do in the upper right corner.
I will get in before everybody ans say 'Have you posted any photos, we like photos'.

Welcome to the group. As far as I know you are the only one using a hand saw. Enjoy the ride!

First-JROSE; Welcome to the group. I would love to see a picture of the saw you use and how you mount a 2/0 blade in it. Good to have you aboard.
