Hi there fellow scrollers.

A little about myself. I am 41, married, 2 kids. I was first introduced to scrolling by being a codriver for a friend who wished to visit a woodshow.

As soon as I walked in the door I was set upon by some friendly folk who insisted I give a scrollsaw a go. I guess the look on my face as I saw the petite blade was of horror. Assured I would not break it, the fellow made a quick drawing of a cat and the rest is history.

In 2 years I have made, given away, and recut 70 3D figures, and am now into scrollart.

Jim

Jim, welcome to the group.

Can you post some pictures of some of your 3-D? We love to see pictures.

Again, welcome,

Bobbi

Gaia,

I have posted a few photos. My apology for not having a better photo for the 3D figures.

Welcome west jim........your cuttings look great. I can see you've also got a copy of Diana Thompsons books. I love cutting compounds too. Come back often....we learn from everyone at one time or another.

Thank you everybody for the warm welcome.

I see I have a Miniature Schnauzer like Wood Dog

At present I have been so tied up with work that making dust is coming second. But on a positive I have just taped up "Gershwin" by Jeff Zaffino and am building the nerve to start.

greatdane2,
I have 6 photos in my gallery. Go through Scroller Galleries and type in west_jim or select w in the a - z. Best of luck
Jim
PS: if you enlarge the photos of the compound cuttings it goes all fuzzy due to the low pixel count
