Red face Re: The Love of Scroll Sawing

Hi Everyone:

I just Love to Scroll Saw. There is a Memorial Golf Tournament, in our area, in July, for two young boys who have lost their lives. One boy had a very rare type of Cancer, and the other boy was going to College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and took a bike ride in a park, and hit a bump and went over the handle bars. He lived for six days after. This happened two years ago.
There is now a scholarship in their names. But, anyways, they want me to scroll something for a silent auction table. I have been trying to design something with a golfer on and a really neat background. Does anyone have any suggestions, that would help me a little. I would really appreciate it.

Thanks so very much. Pam

Hi Pam,
Just thinking out loud here ~ but, maybe you might consider scrolling a portrait of Tiger Woods and contacting him (his agent) and ask him to sign the portrait. You gotta know that (especially this year) it would bring in a pretty penny and draw some other interest. I don't know anyone in the Tiger Woods group but I bet it wouldn't be as difficult to make contact as you might think. Anyway, it's an idea . . .
John

The above idea is a great one but you could also cut a mini clock pattern of a golfer. I have to look at home for the book that has the pattern. I think it is in one of the Berry basket books.
