Here is my latest carving in BASSwood of a BASS fish ![]() Al thinks this is funny ![]() I had this piece of wood laying around for a long time and started to make a bowl out of it, then changed my mind and carved a fish instead. All the detail is woodburned and all the carving is done by hand, (no power carving for me) I'm guessing the size at 6'x10'x2'. Already sent it out and forgot to measure it LOL I haven't been getting much carving done lately, but I'm starting to feel inspired again. ![]() ![]() Donna ![]() ![]() ![]() I hope this works....

That is a great looking carving. What is the depth of the relief? The finish also looks great. Dale |

This is just too good; not only is it a bass fish in basswood, but its also bass relief! Most of all I'm envious; great work, Donna! Al |

Thanks everyone ![]() Dale, I'm not sure about the depth of the relief part. The whole thing was 2' thick, and I started to make a bowl, so I cleared out about 1/2' thickness of the center before I started to carve the fish. There is probly a good 1/4' of wood left behind the fish. Al, you are so easily amused! hehehehe ![]() Donna

Donna, Great job on the fish and with the surrounding background, very realistic, very good 'pyro' talent too. Bill in NY |
