Smile Searching for Lettering Software

Good Morning Everyone! I'm new to the group --- so maybe this subject has been discussed before but I'm looking for some Lettering Software to create sayings or phrases. Any Suggestions?

Sure, but price and flexibility makes a big difference.

What platform you using? XP, VISTA, MAC, Linux,

I like CorelDraw Graphic suite, about $500.00.

Many others like less expensive software that does the same.

Of course you can go with Adobe Creative Suite, about $1000.00

OpenOffice dot org has Open software (Free for individuals) with lots of ability.

Phil

I got Corel Draw Graphics Suite X3 on EBay for $98. You can get older versions for even less.

I use Microsoft Visio for all of my layout be it picture, words, or design. However, I can see somebody being able to use Word, Excel or even Powerpoint to do sayings.

So a google search for free fonts and you can download a couple hundred

Here's a couple of cuts I did using the basic Paint program that comes with Windows. I really haven't used anything sophisticated that may be able to change things easily, but using Paint gets the job done for me.

This one is for my neice. (The spelling is correct. I double checked with her parents.)

I put this one together very quickly. Just had to find the font I liked and cleaned it up a little just to ensure there were no holes in the middle.

Welcome to the group. Almost any word processing program will work. You can even use Adobe Photoshop Home edition to add words in a variety of fonts and sizes to any picture. Have fun.

Welcome to the group. I use a scrapbooking program that was really cheap, about $8 and it lets me do almost anything I want with words.

As well as the good suggestions already made, there's also lots of free software which can be used to produce lettered patterns. Serif DrawPlus, Inkscape and The Gimp spring immediately to mind, although there are others too.
