Default Hello from Dave Penman in Woodbridge, VA

Thanks for the "welcome aboard". I hope to learn a lot from this site. I.ve been in scrolling for around 15 years and do a number of craft shows each year. Bob Duncan of Fox Chapel Publishing has been kind enough to send me patterns for test cutting over the years from John Nelson and others. A few pieces have been published in the magazine and some books by Laura Irish. I learn something useful with every issue I receive. I know that I will have questions as time goes on and I look forward to your help. Thanks, Dave Penman

Mike - thanks for the reply. Looks like nice work in your photo. Is that pattern available? I mainly do military, dog, and lighthouse wall plaques, ornaments, 3D wildlife scenes and music boxes. I've attempted to attach two photos of a couple of pieces of my work - hope I did it the right way. Thanks again for the email. Dave USMC (ret)

Dave,

The pattern for my avatar and thousands more are available for free at Absolutely Free Scroll Saw Patterns. Here is the web site Absolutely Free Scrollsaw Patterns All you have to do is join and you will have access to all the patterns. A few maybe a lot of our members here are also members there. It's a good group. With your empahsis (sp), there is a lot to choose from there. Have a ball!

By the way where are you located?

Hello Dave and welcome aboard. J. Nelson is one of my favorites, so we start off with something in common. Anxious to see your work, and the secret you have collected during your 15 years of scrolling.
You will enjoy this group, I know I do.

I'm a member of the Absolutely Free Patterns group and Mike is right, they are a fine bunch and always willing to help out. Some great patterns in their vault. If you look at my album, Tulsa Rose came from one of the scrollers in that group.
