Default Hello from Pittsburgh

I acquired a "free" scroll saw from my FIL the other day. I had wanted to try scroll sawing for a while and now is my chance. The saw is a single speed 1987 Craftsman 16" saw. I say "free" because I have already ordered a conversion kit from Sears to change the saw to use pinless blades. My time at a scroll saw will be limited since I have been doing blacksmithing for 30 years and do several craft shows during the year which consumes much of my time. This will be strictly for fun (I hope). After setting it up my first project will be learning how to use it. I don't expect any usable output at first.
As time goes by maybe some Christmas ornaments, but then I would like to do some intarsia or segment portraits of the Norfolk Southern mainline diesels (formerly Conrail) which run about 1/2 block from where I work, or maybe some of Pittsburgh's more notable buildings, or . . . .
At any rate I have enjoyed this forum so far.
