Smile Hi from Utah

Hello from Utah

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone. Just got my scroll saw yesterday and can't wait to get started. My mom loved to do woodcrafts with her scroll saw and I guess it has rubbed off. I'm really excited about this site as I know I will have many questions. My husband is very supportive of me in my "hobby", he has even set me up with a small workshop. Now just what to do with it. Can't wait to find out.
Linda

Welcome Linda. I know you can't wait to get started. It's a driving force and you'll do great with it. You can get all your questions answered right here on this forum. You may even teach us a thing or two. Let us see what you're making from time to time. David

Hi Linda, and welcome. I would suggest saving a couple of your first cuttings and putting them up somewhere for six months or so and then compare them to what and how you are cutting at that time. I neglected to do that myself and have been kicking myself since. My first few cuttings would bring a laugh to anyone here, even a beginner. I am still learning new things about this addiction every day. Again Welcome, Steve

Welcome Linda, this is the place for you to learn, I don't get too involved with scrollsawing at the present time. I do plan on getting into the art of scrollsawing real soon as I own a hegner v18 which I purchased a few years ago to cut intricate pieces for my whirligigs of which I specialize in.....MIKE
