| A Texas scrollsaw massacre guy: HI: I am new to this forum and to scroll sawing. I have done a lot of woodworking and some wood carving and I am interested in finding patterns for three dimensional objects. (Font and side views). I have seen some very nice chess pieces made this way and am interested in making other figures using this method. Jim, In Lubbock TX |

| Welcome Jim. This is a great place, and full of great people (how else would it be a great place?) Looks like you are off to a fine start with getting your questions answered.

| Here is a link to some of the best compound cutting books available. http://www.foxchapelpublishing.com/s...fm?FullCat=112 I am playing around right now with a few compound cut designs, they can be tricky to draw up. They al look great until you cut them out, then try to remove what you imagined, and it comes out in pieces. It sure is nice though when you draw one, test cut it, and everything looks as imagined. Check out those books. Dale |

You know there are two kinds of people in the world, those named Jim and those that wish they were!!!!
Salute!!!
If you take a look in the works in progress section I posed some designs for chess pieces. I've been working on those designs for a while. What are you looking to build? |
